I bought the aftermarket LCI "style" tails back under the group buy. I'm pretty happy with them. The fitment is good and in my opinion they
are better looking than the oem pre-lci tails. Before I installed I did order the cables from Bruce. On these lights, Bruce's Cables are
not so much to make them compatible or error-free but rather to improve the functionality and the display.

I think it gives the pre-lci owners a nice option to upgrade the tails at savings over oem lci tails.

If the one's from Umnitza are a modified version, then that is probably another viable option.

On these Sonar's the brake lights only go on when the brake is applied and only LED bars stay lit when no brakes are applied like the LCIs. The only thing about these is that the inner light (Round one) closest to the liscense plate only goes on when the brak is applied. Other than that, the amber LED signals are extra bright. You might want to email Umnitza directly and ask for some photos before pulling the trigger.
So in your opinion, do these closely resemble the OEM LCI lights? How bright are the LED bars only when the parking light is on?

Yes the Sonar light cables are different from the OEM light cables. See here for pictures of the cables and the difference the cables make

I am not sure I'm reading Umnitza's description correctly - if he would chime and let us know what's up with these, would be best of course. But it looks to me like Umnitza starts out with the same lights as the eBay light from that GB by redeyejedi, but takes it a step further and negates the need for Bruce's cables. The description on Umnitza's site says that there are resistors inside the lights, they are pnp and the brake light comes on ONLY when brakes are applied - otherwise, only the bars stay on.

If I'm correct in this assumption, we definitely need some pics to see how they look in real life (if anyone wants to ship me a pair under sponsorship, I'll gladly do a proper photoshoot ), because this would mean that these lights are neither the Sonars that are sold on eBay, nor Sonars from eBay+Bruce's cables.
