Shop saying M6 wheels won't fit

So, I know this topic has been discussed to death. But trying to get your opinions.

I can get a set of OEM M6 wheels with offset of 17mm. I would run the 245-35-19 and 275-30-19 tire setup as everyone has suggested.

The shop says that it may still rub. I mentioned that others have tried it successfully. Is the shop just confused about this? I know the forum members are more knowledgeable than car shops, especially on the E60.

Just wanted to make sure there was no chance of rubbing. I plan on getting KW2 coilovers or just Eibach (1.2") springs.

I probably will switch to 20" w/lip wheels later on. Which is why I may go with the coilovers.

Thanks Rudy for the link. I think I will soon have some M6 wheels. woohoo!

they will fit with those tire sizes. maybe theyre thinking of the tires straight off of an M6?

They didn't want to say for sure that the tires wouldn't rub because they never tried it. Unfortunately, I just found out that the M6 wheels are sold. So, it's back to the drawing board.

you should try Eurorev, SPP or D2technik.
