In any event, rolly is enitled to his opinion. But facts are stubborn things. And the dyno proven gains of RPI exhausts on E60s are facts.

That's not an opinion, it's an insult. Even if it wasn't directed at RPI, it's an insult to all small businesses out there working on blood, sweat and tears to provide quality product for others. Most if not all companies come from small roots so by making a blanket statement like that is plain ignorant and speaks to his idiocy.

I don't think Rolly was implying that RPI is a mickey mouse brand at all. And his comments hold some truth because at the end of the day, the manufacturers who are involved in racing personally, and distribute parts to enthusiasts who race (or solo1, solo2, track days, amateur grassroots), they are more likely to be brands that have earned respect and loyalty by way of the durability and performance of their products. Right?

If he's not talking about RPI, clearly, his comments don't belong in this thread. Please refer to your title OP

By the way,

Ah, perhaps I was a little too subtle in making my point. Simply put, rolly's opinion/jab/insult, assuming it was directed at RPI, is disproven and contradicted by the facts. If you want the most power from an E60 exhaust, go RPI. And of course, the size of a business does not always relate to the quality of its products.

Dyno charts IMO are not ever truly accurate. They depend on so many different variables and software can be changed at a whim so as much as I like RPI, you can't say "proven gains". Because I'm sorry, elevation, air temp, car temp, the gas, jesus christ it never ends. So many different things can make a DYNO from California say something totally different from the same car you bring out to a shop in New York and DYNO. I bet they wouldn't show the same results. So its not "proven" its "assumed gains".

Hmmm. I would venture to say that this will produce a long and detailed response about RPI's methodology for dyno testing and how RPI is happy to do comparison dynos of its a products versus its competitors using dynos by disinterested parties.

I was hoping the same. But I already know which parties you speak of (cough aFE).
