Hey Uzzle...why dont you remove the chrome trim...sand it down a bit with a light sand and paint that shit man! i would do it if i had chrome trim. Whats the worst that could happen? i doubt it will chip if you do an ok job on the paint..and if it does then w.e ...you were gonna replace it with shadowline anyways..
Thanks for the idea, I'll try it tonight. I have some left over gloss black primer.

If chrome trim was considered cool..........why don't BMW put it as standard on all the M Cars. I reckon it's because it's not sporty looking, where as (High gloss) shadowline is.
I'm sorry, did you say "high gloss" shadowline? Where can I get this? Everyone is always offering "matte" black which is fugly and looks like it was faded in the sun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think this chrome trim looks amazing. Ours is a lil' too skinny, though.

So I used primer, gloss black. Not sure how long it will hold up but I think it looks pretty good. Sanded it down and sprayed em up, took about a hour and a half.

This is only temp, Will buy OEM soon.

I like the black vinyl overlay the E90/92 guys are doing.
