I have a 525i and its not wired for satellite. What parts do I need? I saw this on ebay, but are there any additional parts?

BUMP

Installed Professional Navigation today original.gif (Thanks wokingBigBoy for your help and advice) all is working and no coding required.
i went for a slightly older unit so i would not have any coding issues.
but i notice i dont have POIs like filling stations etc and i dont have the 3d view, does my car require a software update from the dealers to enable these.
Also 7 digit postcode was this with the latest DVD i am using 08-01

You will require the 09-02 Dvd for 7 digit post code. POI's are also available on the latest DVD.

Hi, I am planning the same upgrade.. Can I use the 8.8" monitor from fore instance 2007 in my 2004 model or shall I look for a monitor with the same build data or does every professional monitor fit regardless of production date?

Hi there, I suspect my sat nav pro requires replacing, I am interested in knowing where you sourced your new head-unit from and also how difficult it was... many thanks!

Hi sorry to revive this thread just picked up an '06 E61 530xi and was considering retofiting the GPS system.

I have found a unit model #65836962545 I beleive it would work ? I realise I will need an antenna and the wiring harness as well + programming.

Any help confirming this would be appreciated.

Hi,
Did my navi prof retrofit yesterday...
All works fine but after the retrofit there's an error message " RELEASE PARKING BRAKE" when I'm driving...

How could I solve this problem?

I need clarification on what RTSW/BR/WS mean. The unit is working but after about a hour of driving the CCC unit seems to heat the SAT NAV DVD and if you put another location in I normally get a read error so I think I may of wired the fan up wrong.

Thanks
Small three position connector ---->> large 13813 connector
RTSW 1 fan pos To 1 fan positive
WS 2 diagnose to 11 diagnose
BRSW 3 fan negative to 5 fan negative

The left is the small connector that connects to the fan and the right side is the large 13813 connector for back of CCC.
