Hello

There is any way to have my passanger mirror tilt when reverse? My car is product in 08/2004 and i don't have seats with memory or auto dimming options or folding mirrors. If i simulate the wires for auto folding mirrors will have this options?

passenger auto tilt has nothing to do with memory, its just a matter of coding that option into the body gateway module.

Right sorry to dig up an old thread.. but there is a bit of confusion surrounding this subject.

I have a 2008 LCI e60. The mirrors have 4 pin plugs with 4 wires on each, - bog standard heated types.

I want to retrofit some LCI powerfold mirrors, I've found some LCI ones with 4 pin plugs and 3 wires into each. If I get these then all I need to do is run wires to KOMBI and recode KOMBI with existing door looms?

I'm capable of doing this, I've done SAT and extended lights mods....

Thanks guys

Yes you totally can.

Just follow the diy pos[ed by BLooD (Credit to him) and FA-WRITE SA430 to VO and you're done. A correction, you connect the wires to KGM, not KOMBI

Hi

I just installed folding mirror to my E61 M5 and they are working great (thxz to your DIY) except for the auto dim...and yes read that i have to put in some extra wiring...

My question is, why does i have to do that..isnt all wires in the harness or !??! . The mirror has 3 Cables in a 4 connector and i tought that maybe this could be "programmed" instead.. or !??!

In a original fitted folding mirror with auto dim, is there more cables in the door harness than i got !? if not how come we cant get it to work without the extra cables...?

And if there is more cables...is it possible to get WDS of what pins in the door/chassi connector the wires should go...what pins etc etc ?
