My car has a blanking plate at the back of the console where others appear to have an extended smokers pack (certainly judging by the number of panels on the bay) which have two sockets and potentially the aux in.
I took this panel off in my car today and had a quick look, but couldn't see any relevant existing wiring, so I'm guessing it's not prewired unless they're hidden.
Has anyone added this feature or shed any light on whether it is feasible?

I don't know if years and models matter.. but I have an 08 535xi and my aux in is inside the arm rest cubby. However, I do indeed have two more cig outlets undermeath the vents of the console.. just to verify for you that it does exist. I think in the owners manual it indicated the aux in "could" be there as well... I'm sure it's just wiring.
