Yes possible via coding ... just like my car I don't have folding too at the beginning.

In Europe pre-LCI has folding mirror as an option while in the US not an option.

Btw, the dealer is going to exchange the mirror for the right one as long as I pay for shipping which I'll happily assume lol. I want those mirrors so bad

do you know what do I need to tell the stealer for them to know which code to apply? I know there's something they have to turn on or something.
and do you know if is it possible to use the folding feature without installing a new button? maybe automatic folding when park or trough the key fob? if so, do you know the code I'd have to tell the stealer to change?

Make ASP_BEIKLAPPEN function aktiv in KGM module.

Depending on your car options you may have to add $430A (and/or $431A) option code to your VO/FA or the function will not work.

You can only activate the mirrors motorized fold/unfold by 2 ways ... 1st way via hardware which is the cabin button or 2nd way via keyfob remote by coding the above.

Does that mean if you using the 2nd way, you lose the ability to manually on demand fold and unfold with the cabin switch? Even if you installed the cabin switch?

Let step back and take a look on this ... so 2nd way ... you activate the folding by holding the lock button on the keyfob ... are you still inside the car at that time to manually pressing the cabin switch? ... well why do I care ... if you fold the mirrors via keyfob the cabin button will unfold it ...but ... if you fold them via cabin button keyfob remote will not un-fold them.

... why method of folding/unfolding is become so complicated is beyond me ... but ... maybe for some it's a critical matter between life & death.

So the beauty havin' cabin button you pull up on a stop light you can fold them (you know how good an M5 mirror during folding process) and let it unfold by itself when the car start to move ... when you park hold the lock on the keyfob to fold them when you walk away (w/o lookin' back) from the car ... and another show stopper when un-locking the door the mirrors will automagically un-fold too ...

I'm thinking in a scenario when I want to drive the car through a narrow driveway where I have to manually fold the mirrors as I drive to avoid scratching them. Unfold when clear.

Later on when I get home, get out of the car, turn the alarm on and auto-fold the mirrors.

In your case you'll need button for the 1st reason and coding for the 2nd reason.
