Thumbs up

Hi Guys

Wonder if installation of wheel spacers can be a DIY job at home? Or do the wheels/tires have to be balanced/adjusted by a machine at a tire shop after spacers are put in? Im thinking of putting in 10mm spacers in the rear, I hv stock style 122 wheels with 17" dunlop runflats.

Thanks

If you've got the tools, installing spacer is a DIY.

I've put in H&R spacers on my previous M3 -- took about 1 hour.

No need to do a wheel balance, or otherwise adjust the alignment.

Correct.
No balancing needed.
I also had the alignment checked with and without 15mm spacers on the rear and there was no change or difference.

Bunbun,

Have you mounted those spacers yet? Don't forget the pics.

What brand are you using?

I have 17" dunlop run flats with 128's and I's interested in what this looks like after you finish. Please post pics.

One question. Will this affect the ride or handling at all?

Spacers will not affect the ride; they might improve the handling a bit - wider track generally means better handling.

Longer bolts mean more stress on the hubs. Can't be good.
