Question about spacers

Hi Guys
Wonder if installation of wheel spacers can be a DIY job at home? Or do the wheels/tires have to be balanced/adjusted by a machine at a tire shop after spacers are put in? Im thinking of putting in 10mm spacers in the rear, I hv stock style 122 wheels with 17" dunlop runflats.

I've put in H&R spacers on my previous M3 -- took about 1 hour.
No need to do a wheel balance, or otherwise adjust the alignment.

I have 17" dunlop run flats with 128's and I's interested in what this looks like after you finish. Please post pics.
