Ummm... I figured out something for you guys that has problem with AE/parking light error -- yay me
Obviously I have nobody else's car to test out, particularly you folks out there in UK, but this should work.
If I am correct, those of you guys that have the parking light error it only comes up if the low beams are on (even after coding out the cold/warm/display check).
Well, the solution I have come up with you won't need to use resistors, however, you do need to have wired your AE as DRL a la the DIY that's on the board. Assuming you can do the conversion, and the wire work, this shouldn't be an issue anyway.
In any case, here's what you want to do:
In NCSExpert, go into your LMA and find PWM_ANSTEUERUNG_SL_V_AL and PWM_ANSTEUERUNG_SL_V_FL. The existing value should be wert_02. Change that to wert_03.
Basically what that means is that when the low beams or high beams are on, the parking light will turn on as well, which for some reason, the car will still current check despite being told not to.
If you didn't wire your AE as DRL, changing the above will disable the AE altogether when your low beams are on. I am not entirely positive (since I have no cars to test it out on), but technically, combined with the disabling of cold/warm check, AE/parking light should no longer give you any error AND no more dimmed AE for you conversion people!
Somebody should probably make a new thread with this information in case the people that have done the conversion don't check the thread anymore
So what's my prize?

I think you're misunderstanding me. I am saying that perhaps your values do not necessary mean the same as mine. (who knows, might be an US vs. non-US thing).
That wert_03 is off for me, maybe 04 is off for you, etc. etc. Tinker with the value, and see which one is off. And as I said, it makes no sense that it should be set off as default, that would mean your AE does not come on when your low beams are on -- which I highly doubt is the case.

Just took the picture above and to me the AE is on with the low beam on!
I compared my first trc (before coding) with the last one (after ading $522 to be able to remove the canbus canceler from the xenons) and they are both set to wert_03.

Right, so you're basically proving what I said: that my wert_03 might not do the same thing as your wert_03. We do have to consider that as a possibility as we have found that there are discrepancies between our settings across the pond.
To reiterate, my wert_03 turns off the AE. Your's obviously don't, so your value might be something else. Which is why I said you should tinker and see which value will turn them off for you.
