i have also done the Lci halogen mod..

look's great, and also get the warning parking light with the low beam on..
sometime's the warning comes faster than other times. i can live with it, but it is anoying when i'm in a traffic jam .

Now i got an LM2 ( lear ) with a partnumber from an Lci with halogen headlights, but i wonder that when i wil use the new Lm it wil give more error message's because i stil have the pre LCI rearlights..

what should i do ????

Haha, the easiest answer is to upgrade to LCI tails as well!

Nah, actually, LM2 should function with your pre-LCI tails as well. Just a matter of preserving the codes from LM1 to LM2 for the tails.

Well guys i am happy to report that I decided I wanted to have the Welcome home lights on my car which means you need the LM2 module, and today I fitted and coded a LM2 module and the errors have stopped on my headlights, which I was prepared to live with after trying all the other ways to stop them, I do now however have a rear right light failure warning but I am sure this is because I dont have the LCI rears fitted yet.

So the solution for me was to change the LM to a LM2 module and some coding and hopefully welcome lights when it gets dark.

Does anyone now what part of the code i can take from my origianl LM so i can copy it across to the LM2 to stop the rear error didnt want to copy all of my old codes across.

I think the easiest thing would've been to preserve a copy of your LM1's trace file and just compare.

Just wondering if this diagram is of any use to those who get the errors

I think that diagram is already on the first few pages of the thread. Seems like the errors are down to coding of the car.

Hi jas,

Maybe you (and others) should try the fix that the poster on that forum did, he put the resistor on one of the wires that goes to a non used pin on the LCI lights so the LED will have full power and not dim.

Honestly, I think my method above is better. Obviously it assumes the person has LM1, which is probably the majority of people that'll be doing this conversion. And if the person is apt enough to make the harness cable, s/he can probably tackle the wiring job for AE as welcome lights and DRL. With that said, my way above, you wouldn't even need resistors and the AE will run at full power.

Obviously this is more relevant for you non-US folks, since here our wiring harness is slightly easier to make and error-free.

You pointed to PWM_ANSTEUERUNG_SL_V_AL and PWM_ANSTEUERUNG_SL_V_FL set to wert_03 could solve the problem, mine was set to wert_03 from the beginning.
