i have found some coding for the error
" Right Parking lamp malfunction error message
FRM (NFRM)
FEHLERMELDUNG_CC_SL_V_R
remove the warning from your BMW idrive when you install HID's or angel eyes
I was going to try it in the next couple of days
Ummm... I figured out something for you guys that has problem with AE/parking light error -- yay me
Obviously I have nobody else's car to test out, particularly you folks out there in UK, but this should work.
If I am correct, those of you guys that have the parking light error it only comes up if the low beams are on (even after coding out the cold/warm/display check).
Well, the solution I have come up with you won't need to use resistors, however, you do need to have wired your AE as DRL a la the DIY that's on the board. Assuming you can do the conversion, and the wire work, this shouldn't be an issue anyway.
In any case, here's what you want to do:
In NCSExpert, go into your LMA and find PWM_ANSTEUERUNG_SL_V_AL and PWM_ANSTEUERUNG_SL_V_FL. The existing value should be wert_02. Change that to wert_03.
Basically what that means is that when the low beams or high beams are on, the parking light will turn on as well, which for some reason, the car will still current check despite being told not to.
If you didn't wire your AE as DRL, changing the above will disable the AE altogether when your low beams are on. I am not entirely positive (since I have no cars to test it out on), but technically, combined with the disabling of cold/warm check, AE/parking light should no longer give you any error AND no more dimmed AE for you conversion people!
Somebody should probably make a new thread with this information in case the people that have done the conversion don't check the thread anymore
So what's my prize?

I have not wired the AE's as DRL but might look that thread up and give it a go at the weekend with the coding you mentioned, and report back.
If that works I will buy you a serious drink my friend.
I am pretty sure it'll work.
The reason I "actually" (sorry guys, I am a bit lazy) looked into it a little more is because after my remodification of my modded headlights to have quad projectors, I redid the wiring for my Orions. Which, for some reason, the previous resistor I was using before would no longer suppress the errors properly.
So when my low beams would come on, I would get the stupid error. It goes away after pushing the check toggle, and I probably can live with it if I must. But I figure wth, I might as well see if I can get rid of it
And here we are, all clear!
Oh, if you are going to do the wiring for DRL, might as well do the welcome light at the same time as well

do i need to do change to a LM2 module for the welcolme lights?
Here you go: https://5series.net/forums/topic/988...cking-the-car/
And no change of light module necessary. Of course you don't get the exact same effect as LM2, but 'tis the next best thing. Unless you want to spend the money and pick up an eLight module.

i am so lazy
Just been looking at the modules on German ebay but there are so many differant ones for the LM2 some say "Delphi" some say "Lear" only thought about it as i always wanted the welcome home lights and thought you had to change modules to get it.
