Pre LCI Halogen to LCI Halogen conversion
I just need to have a good look at the photos and diagrams now to find out exactly how they need wiring.
Well, since you're in UK, Sas's pictures will apply to you. Here in the US, I am assuming it must not be a mandate to require halogen (reflector based) lights to have auto-leveling. Non-US E60's have that little plug, which is what powers auto-leveling, so you guys have a few more wires to make.
I only realized this after I received my parts and was looking at it... and lol'd.
And yes, the pin scheme will apply to you.

I'm aware that the reason these bulbs don't fit is because they are too long; I have read on another forum that someone has cut the metal bit down to resolve this, but surely this would cause damage to the led.
Finally got around to making my cables and fitting the headlights.
Did anyone ever get to the bottom of the parking light error? I have read about adding resistors, but it seems people were having problems. The 'dimness' wouldn't bother me if it definately stops the errors, can anyone confirm that this is a working solution. 'livefour2day' had it working but then the errors returned. (not sure if this was due to a bad connection or not?)
If the resistors do work, is it correct that replacing the AE bulbs LEDs will then improve the brightness?
Alternatively, could this be fixed with coding the LCM?

Yes, the answer is resistor. There is only one member that built this harness that I know of that did not require doing extra work and has everything working without error. I don't have the dimness issue since I am running Orions.
Also, coding and disabling cold/warm/iDrive check will not suffice. I've tried it already.

Well, actually, thinking back on it, what I said above might be incorrect. My context is a little different since I am not using the stock AE (bulb pulled out). So maybe with coding, it will go away (assuming there's a bulb in there).
