when I get my 20" rims will I have to put sensors in them? I read the manual and I didn't see anything about any tire pressure sensors, but the sensors that are used sense if you have a flat by measuring rotational speed. is this a sensor installed inside the stock rim that I have to take out and install in my aftermarket rims? or can I get away without installing any sensors in my aftermarket rims?

I believe the sensors being used are the ones for ABS, DTC, etc, to detect differences in the rotationals speed. I have not heard any of the others going to aftermarket rims and needing new sensors. They may have to reset the FTM in idrive though.

There are no sensors in the rims. Just install your new rims and simply initialize FTM in the iDrive -- that's it. You don't even have to buy run-flat tires if you don't like them. It works with standard tires as well.
