Personally the color looks a little blingy for me. However, I'm pretty conservative. Leave the color as is and mount it on to see if you like it. Thinking about it more, you can paint the centers hyper-black and leave the lips polished. It will look light with the car during the day. At night the lips could shadow the centers and it will look dark for contrast.

I would mount two on one side, take a couple good pics from profile, post it here and have some of the guys photochop it a couple different ways so you can pick the best color

nice wheels .. i think you should paint the rims the same color as your car, and leave the lip as it is. a silver car should have silver wheels. it looks more original and at the same time mean/evil (because of the lip)thats just my apinion if you asked me

Neither, I used a rubber one. Foam probably would have been better. Would have been easier to move my hands along the contour of the lips.
I'll have pics this weekend for sure!

Updates!!
I took time and wet sanded one of the rears. I used:
Steel wool wet
600 wet
1000 wet
1500 wet
2000 wet
Blue Magic Aluminal Polish
Here are the results.
Pic of the other 3 waiting for their bath in the guest bedroom.
Wet sanding one in one of my bathrooms like a boss. Cleanup is going to be horrible LOLOL
Done!
I know these pics suck since they are cell phone pics, but I'm charging up some batteries now for my digital cam to take more pics. My iPhone doesn't do the shine justice at all.
