love it, go for it................i saw a guy the other day driving an Audi Q5,, with vanity plates..... and it said.........Q5...nice job..
i saw one on the web, on an infinity,,, the infinity badge was on the center of the trunk lid... the plate was just below it...it said....BEYOND.....

That's pretty clever (the Infinity).

I say go ahead and get one as I feel they're just an expression of your personality, passion..etc... I don't see all plates as "vanity" as a lot of them tend to be funny or speaks about a particular interest of the driver (like in your case with the Grateful Dead).

That said, I have one which is probably pretty egotistical. LOL! Maybe I'll change it to say VANITY.

Just saw this on yahoo home page...it seems the DMV database should be fixed big time. The database field for what the vanity plate says should be different from notes regarding the plate itself.

Again...thanks for all of the feedback, ideas and encouragement guys! I think I'm just gonna go ahead and do this as my registration is almost up anyway.

On another note, I used to have this one on the front of my SAAB...for all of 40 minutes before I got pulled over and was told to take it off for get this..."trying to encourage and start a race". The police also told me that this could get me beat up by "thug kids in Hondas"...
