Getting ready to install the JB4. I see several people have this already. According to the online instruction it's defaulted to MAPP-1 which increases the boost and HP for a stock car in which this is what I have. Any higher MAPP's they recommend addiontal tunning. They only other item I have is the inJen dual intake but I am sure this adds no power.... What do you all think about running a higher MAPP in stock situation?
PROS ---> MORE HORSEPOWER DUH, Boosts your PSI = vroom vroom.
CONS ---> Shortens the life of your turbos because of more stress put on them, voids any type of warranty you have on your vehicle if caught with this mod or a error code related to this mod.
I have one on my car, I suggest buying a scan tool to clear any hidden codes you may have on your vehicle after removing it to take it in for service. I do believe the new JB4 does come with a clear error code feature.

Ok, I was planning on installing the JB4 yesterday, well, helping a bud from work do this is more like it! He couldn't make it over so I thought I would give it a shot myself. After thoroughly reviewing all the instructions I put the car to sleep as instructed. I waited ~ 20 minutes before disconnecting the first wire. When I did, there car lights blinked and the alarm chirped. It appeared to me that the car woke up! Ok, at this point in reconnected the wire and the alarm started so I went inside the house and used the keys to stop it. Needless to say, at this point I became scared of this car and decided that better I wait for my friend to help me. Looks like the instructions left a little important notes out... and from what I have read playing around in the E-box when the car is awake is a BIG NO NO! Hopefully in the next days I'll run over to his shop and get the software put in.
