OK, so I've just got to do something with the front end of the 545...

Here are my choices:

1. M-Tech front end

2. Carbon Fiber splitters for the OEM 545 front end

3. Hamann "style" carbon fiber front spoiler for the OEM 545 front end

Now, I will say that I like the M-Tech conversion the best, but I'm thinking at $800-$1000 (Umnitza M-Tech bumper, shipped, painted, installed) there are other less costly options that may quench my desire for a more aggressive front at a lower cost. Also, with the powdercoated rims, a little carbon fiber here and there (not too much, but I do have the CF mirror covers already) may be a good look...

Ordinarily, the M-Tech cost wouldn't deter me at all but I'm saving for two out of the country personal trips in 2010 (Olympics, Vancouver & World Cup, South Africa) that are going to take a bite out of the fun funds...

I can pick up the splitters for $250 (eBay) or so and DIY the install

I can pick up the Hamann "style" front spoiler for $250 (eBay) or so and may or may not be able to DIY the install

Just looking for opinions, thoughts, suggestions....whatever.

Thanks for looking..

I say M-Tech as its looks more subtle (i.e. it doesnt look like an after thought add on)....however if price is an issue that Hamann front add on looks pretty decent from a style point.....but dont do the splitters....thats looks horrible!

Personally, Im not a fan of that add-on splitters for the stock OEM bumper. I think the M Tech is your best bet.

oh hell... I'm going with the M-Tech front. I just looked at my own post. The add-ons suck. Sometimes you just have to lay these things out in front of you.

Yea man, just get the Mtech. Its your best OEM solution and looks the best.

Good luck!

I was looking at those same exact splitters for a while but I ended up getting the ACS style lip from Nerweezy. I couldn't justify the cost of Mtech, even the ?mnitza, the ACS lip is an easy DIY and I think it looks pretty good.

I recently went through the same dilemma. Save some money, or go with the Mtech. I ordered the Mtech from Umnitza. Hopefully it's worth the wait (and cash)...
