Yeah, I heard that chronic tends to slow down time especially when listening to music. And the music!

There has been a lot of debate about which off-the-shelf octane booster is effective, but I hope this thread is helpful.
The octane # increase depends on the amount of active ingredient that is in the gas. The NOS booster, for example, is designed to treat 1 liter of gasoline with 0.18g of the active ingredient to achieve an increase of 3 octane numbers. That is the street-legal concentration if you swear to EPA regs to the letter.

In case you haven't figured out, the 10% Ethanol in the gas we buy at the pump is in there primarily for the purpose of boosting octane. EPA regs on reformulated fuel has made gasoline weak. The problem with Ethanol is that it is not as effective and it lowers your MPG. Cars will need different injectors and internal seals to run higher levels like E85, which is why you see E85.

I try to fill up on a mix of 91 (our sorry ass standard level in Cali stations) and 100 octane race fuel from a station in Agoura Hills off the 101. Lately though, time constraints and distance to the station has left me on 91 only.
If driving out to Agoura Hills is a little too far for you, the 76 station where the 110 ends in Pasadena sells race fuel.
