I will never put octane booster in my car (again), I was doing it, and I was getting a little ticking noise coming from my engine, I didn't know at first but I stop using it and the ticking noise went away
Good luck for those who use it

Another idea, You fill up but give her the bottles and ask her to put then into the tank (or not) on your return. Make sure you dont see the bottles at all.
European Car Web - Octane Booster Results Grid
and their test Write-Up. Their tests used 91 octane. Its use acheived a 93.7 end result (Ron+Mon/2).
And then these:
Volvo Speed Review
"They have done a lot of research on this and NOS brand is actually fairly reliable for 2 to 3 extra points."
And a motorcyclist's butt-dyno review:
Of course 5th gear states at the end of the video that "there may be some benefits in a more performance oriented engine" and went on to put it in ther hi-po civic. I'm skeptical, thanks to the 5th gear review, yet the feeling of improvement is there. I know most cars across the pond use 93 octane. I imagine >91 to be standard in Germany (is this right?). Perhaps, in those areas where 91 is standard, it is possible to feel an improvement in high performance cars engineered and designed where the recommended premium fuel is 93 octane. While I doubt a stock 4 banger Honda Accord would notice a difference, in a powerful V8 with intake, exhaust, and ecu mods, I'm thinking it might....sigh, I'm so freggin confused.

Don't bother with snakeoil. Even 'if' your car could take advantage of the addtional octane, when you calculate the amount of octane booster you would need to add to a tank of gas to raise octane by '1', it's a ridiculous amount.
The only time taking the octane level above the manufacteres spec could provide any advantage, is if your engine has a large amount of carbon build up. But even in this case your better bet is to clean up the carbon build-up.
If your really curious however, an easier bet than octane booster is just running some 100 octane racing fuel. Many gas stations carry this now. It's ridiculously expensive (about $7-9 per gallon), but at least is a proper premix that will clarifiy the exact octane amount you are running. Still a waste of $$ IMO, but if your curious, I'd go this route instead of 'many' bottles of octane booster.

I think to fully realize the benefits of higher octane, you'll also need a software remap to masimize the air/fuel mixture..etc..

Hmmm, I also heard from a birdie that someone sent their ECU to RDSport for a remap.

Keep in mind that there are 10 octane "points" in each octane number, so if you go up 2 points you are going up to 91.2 octane and not 93 if you start with 91 octane gas.

I've done the 100+91 thing (see my 1st post above as to why I can't anymore). My concern is that the manufacture's spec is done on 93 octane. With only 91 as an option here, I feel there may be some benefit to an increase. I'm sure most here wouldn't consider the US midgrade(89 octane - 2 points less than premium) for their cars. If 93 is the tested and recommended norm in Germany (need confirmation on this fellas), than our 91 equivalent is 2 octane points below their tested and designed recommendations. Of course auto makers can't put "93 octane only" on cars sold in countries lacking 93, so they add "Premium Unleaded Only" to encourage use of the highest available and accept that losses will be handled via knock sensor management. Of course this is all speculative - if the engines are optimized for 91, then 93 is, in essence, overkill.

My E63 is optimized for 93 octane so putting in 91 is retarding the engine a little bit.
