Nick Alexander in Los Angeles will install the part. I had mine installed Friday. $90 for the part and $150 for the labor (1.5 hours). They also updated me to 15.1 (no charge).

AFIK, they are the only dealer in LA that will do it.

Also, I have Nav and it was not an issue with install although the parts guy eluded to a different part number because my car has nav. I thought there was only one part number. Anybody have any insight on this?

Where does the AUX INPUT mount? In the cabin or the trunk?
Would be nice up front to plug an iPod into ...

I am going to ask my dealer to install it before I pick up the 545, they are being VERY flexible with end of month and all.

Is that where you bought your car?

A bit off topic, but if yes did you a get a good deal? Also did you check out the Park Avenue dealer and the Difeo dealer? Thanks, I am planning on buying the E60 soon, just waiting for the R6 engines. I just wanted to know your experiences with those dealers, if any.

I think Iceman had it installed under the arm rest. He also got an extra power out there as well. It seems it can be installed anywhere you want it to though most are being installed in the most inconvenient place-the glove box.

Check I's posting-he posted some pics as well.

I just had it installed in the glove compartment. Not that inconenient really as the cable comes out the side and you can put the Ipod in the drink holder or passenger side foot well net, making it look really cool...

The document shows it installed in the glove compartment...
