I would hope to hear a considerable difference from green to red. hummmmm If off to green more like the current setup V1? Do you think Red is the same or more?

I reset my mpg meter after getting it and now i am around 15. But this could be due to a lot of city driving plus being a little heavy on the test tuns last night. I am going to run a test once i get situated with it one week on one week off and see whats good

Package Arrives

Contents of the box

Installed (The only problem was that there was no where to hide the thing because the hole where the oem wire goes into was too small. So i hid it behind the pedal housing for now. Going to make a small slit in the carpet where the oem wire comes out and slide the housing in there) MAKE SURE YOU WAIT 5 MINUTES WITH THE DOOR OPEN BEFORE INSTALLING TO AVOID CHECK ENGINE LIGHT MESSAGE!!!!!!

Threaded the wire behind the paneling

Mounted the button (pretty indiscreet right there i may move it its easy access there though

Turned it on and was good to go!!! Honestly you can really notice the difference. 3 modes, off (no light), green (medium setting) red (aggressive). The difference between the green and the red setting is not super noticeable but from being off then on wow what a difference. She just gets up and goes!!! I guess the one downfall of this thing is that it does bring your mpg down considerably but who cares it feels great. Last night i went flying down Griffith Park Blvd mad late no cars around to test her out in DS WOW thats wild its a little overkill in DS mode pretty much just hits 6000 rpm as soon as u step on the gas. I love this thing.

Very cool man. I like where you put the switch, think I'll do the same. So do you just push that little button for the different levels?

Well here is what i felt there is a huge difference from off to red of course and also with off to green. Just imagine the gap being a little smaller between green and red. I just leave it on green, red is a little to jumpy for me considering i do a lot of city driving im not trying to slamm into the car in front of me especially with all the traffic and crappy drivers in la. I hit the red before getting on the highway. You can notice the difference between all the settings, maybe i had some pre conceptions about the jump from green to red thats all. Does that make sense?

BTW the 3m tape that came with the switch sux!!!!! wont stay on where i put it. Looking for an alternative right now.

Ya just push the button for different levels. Never push the button while you foot is on the accelerator. Dont ask me what happens cause i dont know but that what the warning on the directions said so i dont want to find out. The switch right there is very convienient and low key but like i said i have to find some better stuff to make it stay there 3m tape is not cutting it on that surface.

I just put my v1 SB on my 530xi, Can't believe I did not do this earlier ....My 535 was a hoot with it, now my 530 does not feel so...piggish....
Still can't break the tires lose from a dead stop... but AWD does that. I think I might go for the Power box during the summer.

Why are you guys with N52's buying sprint boosters when you can get the powerbox for less and get way more bang for your buck?

Glad I held out and never wasted my $ on a SB.

I purchased and installed my powerbox a few months ago. The mod sounds good, but personally I felt very little difference, even on the highest remap setting (it's only a 10 hp gain anyway)...
I'm planning on purchasing a SB to see what that hype is about.

I wish there was a powerbox for the 550i, else I'll just have to pay for a remap.
