KOni's or Bilsteins are the most popular choices here.

Yup agreed, Konis or Bilsteins.

I need to replace my shocks too. There's a great deal on Koni yellows here, but my tech guy is recommending the Bilsteins. He said the Konis are stiffer.

Out of curiosity - how many miles do you have? I have an 07 530i with 67k miles.

Do you feel a difference and thus looking into new shocks?

Actually from the numerous threads I've seen discussing bilsteins vs. konis says that the Bilsteins are stiffer.

:thumbsdown:How pricey are the shocks? I'm afraid I am getting to that point as well. Every now and then I hear a knock sound on the fron right when going over bumps.

What about Sachs shocks from Bavauto.com? I thought these were OEM or manufactured by the same company as OEM. Does anyone here have any experience with them?
