My Ride: My ex-ride: EU '08 LCI 520dA. Space Grey, Sport Seats in Black Leather/Fabric Anthracite, Sport Steering Wheel, A/C with Extended Features, Hi-Fi Speakers, Cup Holders, Cruise with Braking function, Folding Rear Seats, Xenons, Park Distance Control.

sounds to me that all this might be is a simple signal amplifier.
for example, if the pedal gives a signal to the ecu of 0-5v for 100% pedal travel, then the box could amplify the first 20% of the pedal to produce 0-100%. This would give a hair trigger response to the throttle and the feeling you have a more sensitive engine - but all thats happened is that you had to move your right foot less.
Im an electronics engineer, and the basic parts to make this device would cost a very few dollars if thats all its doing. (wonder if he has patented it!)
I had something on an xj-s once that provided a sharper throttle response if it sensed a fast movment of the throttle - however that was to overcome the fact that the ecu had a very slow response anyway.
This thing (from the little bit i read) just sounds like a gimmic?

Re Japanese cars: I think Hondas are more of an exception than the rule. Toyotas and Nissans are quite sedate, normally (except for Supra/Celica Turbos and Skylines, but again, like a type R or an Rx7 they aren't quite your ordinary car). Not so much in terms of max revs, but in pick up/willingness to rev.

My Ride: 07 BMW 525i Premium Package, Xenon Lighting Package, manual Transmission. Titanium Grey, 20% Tint around the back, 70% V-Kool on front.
