My Cobb Stage 2+ FMIC Good and Bad news
Hey guys, just got my car back from my mechanic. He installed my Dr Euro dp's and my ER Fmic (Couldnt wait to take her out). After taking it out for some regular driving i decided to push it.. now for regular driving it seems to be fine but when i go to punch the gas i get boost occilation and if i dont stop there then itll just jump into limp mode with check engine light. Afterwards i tried to look into the fmic piping and saw what seems to be a small oil leak by one of the rubber couplers... im no mechanic but is this a boost leak??? Currently running COBB stage 2+ fmic st sport on my auto trans 08 535i.. any guess what else it could be?? Help would be very appreciated, Thank You!!
Edit: also wanted to add i changed my spark plugs about 10k mi or less ago

If it was a boost leak you'd have a 30ff fault code. The oil is probably some blow by or oil recirculating back into your charge system from the pcv. If the misfire is what is showing up then that is what is causing the limp mode. When you go to the more aggressive maps with higher boost all weak points in your system are exposed. But once you have it fixed you can enjoy 18 psi maps with no issues except for going sideways at times.

As soon as I come off CPO, I'll be doing the ER Intercooler as well! I may have to sadly pass on the catless DP's though, unless I can find a friendly emissions guy here in georgia (sniffer and obd). I'm currently running Cobb Stage 1 Aggressive and have been happy thus far. Any pics of the Intercooler installed?

For sure i did the same thing (fresh off CPO). If you can get the pipes and not have a problem i def recommend Dr Euro's, he hooked me up big time i just contacted him directly and he was more than willing to help me out with all my questions with them as well as my fmic which i ordered from him as well. Either way im sure youll love the intercooler. Ill be posting pics in a few days im gonna get it washed up first
