They don't look so bad on the E39.? I was referring to the E60.? When I look at the following photo, I can't stop looking at the flaps (no offense realtyman):

I agree, looks better on black but I don't think it's too bad on white either and it helps keep the car cleaner, longer.
Hey, it also keeps the attention off of my very shiny tips!

I just added the OEM mud flaps on my Titanium Gray Metallic last week at the dealership. Parts and labor cost $221. I like the look and think they will be functional here in New England.

Have any of you with the flaps hit bottom when going on a steep driveway or hit a bump? Also, do the oem flaps look o.k. on wider, aftermarket wheels? Any pics?
Thanks!
Thanks!

[/quote]Thanks JDN,
You've convinced me. I think I'll be on my way to order them and have them installed...don't want the gravel from our So Cal drive in Mailibu to ruin my paint!

I give you another two cents on the scrapping. As a part of force protection, I go over speed bumps every day. Some are small, others have quite a bit of drop. I have not scrapped my mud flats yet. First time I do, I am off to the local cops to file a claim with the government.
