I'm wondering if anyone has done or is considering the following mods to their E60?
One of the few disappointments with the LCI 550i is the lack of a temp guage plus the variable warning on the tach is no longer there. Has anybody swapped in an M5 instrument cluster or possibly an E63 one if they fit? I've got the lane departure warning so it may be hard to find a cluster that supports that and I wonder if they had to drop something to add that signal.
Two: DVD video on the Nav screen would be cool. I believe there are places that sell kits to do so but I heard one was reselling stolen parts and is gone now.
Has anybody done this?
PS: Other mods I'm considering are a clear bra (need to do that soon), the illuminated door sills (a cool feature of the 6 that gets noticed), the M5 rear trunk spoiler, and tinted windows. I also want to look into changing out the rear diffuser (the one on the 550i M sport package looks tacked on) but will look into quad exhaust options first and at this time I really like the exhaust sound and don't want to change it.

my530i (Fred) was one of the first to get this mod and install it. Feel free to ask him questions about it. He's very, very handy with the car and did the actual install himself.
Here's his thread of him doing the install for another fellow members car. All those wires would make me sick to my stomach, but if you're good like he is, then no biggy...

I think NickE60Gre installed it in his car and a few other forum members are trying to get it to work on their cars.

You have to wait some weeks for this mod . To know if it's doable or not .
