That price was from Garry at BMW of Newport!!!!! Quad M's quote to me was $2500 (painted and shipped) so that's no bargain either when you figure the install and additional parts. I don't know where these lowball prices are coming from. As for the additional parts - see this thread:

http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=51545

According to that thread you are looking at another $1200 in parts beyond the M kit!!!!!
An extra $1200 in parts for the 2008 E60 M-techs kits.

That explains your $3700 cost.

No, JamDown was quoted $1995 for his 2008 535i with NO PDC. My quote from Quad_M for my 2008 535i with NO PDC was $2200...$205 increase?

I posted the the price for 04-07 pre LCI kit's price of $1995 and yours is LCI kit with PDC owwo.

2008 lci kit is now $2200 with NO PDC painted and shipepd for forum members, and its a lot more in my ebay store if you take a look at it.

2004-2007 kits are $1,995 painted and shipped, do not get confused .

ps: the 2008 lci kit with PDC sensors kit is $3,800 in my ebay store painted and shipped.

Hello!

I am thinking of buying and installing the M tech Kit on my 04 530 Sport. But I have a few questions, so please help me out here:

1. What is the best place on-line to buy the kit (quad_m guy dont respond to emails)
2. How much should a body shop theoratically ask for this install?
3. Would you know anyone in Chicagoland area for this install?

Thanks!!
My suggestion would be to shop around online with some of the vendors mentioned in the previous posts and call some of the Chicagoland BMW dealers to see what they can do for you. I live close to the Peoria, IL BMW dealer and ended up with a great deal for the M-kit on my 2006 530xi (no PDC). I believe that the initial quote was $2,175 plus tax for the entire kit (painted and installed). My price was a bit more (but not much more because I had a 10% off coupon) because I had them add the M trunk finisher which usually sells for $350 painted. Car was in the shop for a total of 3 days for the install because they wanted to color match the parts to my car. I was very happy with the results from this dealer.
