Hi

How much does a M sport steering wheel retrofit cost.
When they re-fit the airbag, is it as safe as a factory fitted airbag.
I have a 2006 non-sport 525i, automatic, will those smg paddles be of any use to me?

Thank you all in advance.

If you just want M sport steering wheel without paddles, all you need are
1. M-sport steering wheel
2. New multifunction buttons
3. New sport round airbag
4. New airbag mounting plate

If you need M5 steering wheel with functional paddles, you'll need the following items in addition to the above
1. M5 or non-M5 paddle shifter
2. M5 SMG steerning wheel instead of M-sport steering wheel which does not have pre-cut slots on the side for paddle mount
3. my530i's paddle shift kit

The paddle shifter works whenever you switch to manual mode, and you can shift up and down with either paddle or lever shifter.
If you're interested, please let me know.

Best regards,

I think that more than anything Juventus'd need an SMG box, rather than a Steptronic auto. Or will your kit interface to the Steptronic as well?

My kit only works on Steptronic.
For SMG, we only need a set of wiring harness to make it work with M5 paddle shifter.
I have develop the following combinations:
1. M5 Paddle Shifter for pre-09/05 car build with Steptronics
2. M5 Paddle Shifter for post-09/05 car build with Steptronics
3. Non-M5 Paddle Shifter (regular SMG push/pull paddles) for pre-09/05 car build with Steptronics
4. Non-M5 Paddle Shifter (regular SMG push/pull paddles) for post-09/05 car build with Steptronics

M5 paddle + and - sign lights up brightly at night when headlights are on.

I also have M5 shift knob which shows correct gear status for R, N and D/S for Steptronics. The kit can be only plug-and-play wiring harness or with M5 knob or complete plug-and-play kit including M5 knob, modified boot, and wiring harness.
I'm opened to group buy if anyone interested.
Thanks
