Axxis and Hawk, they've always been good to me. Besides that on top of where I live, BMW owners NEVER clean their wheels for some reason, its disgusting.

I've got the Axis break pads and I still feel they give a lot of dust. I believe i have the Axiss ULT pads.

Does anyone know if this is the case? or is it due to the rims with a chrome lip?

Is there another brand that can compete with Axiss?
I think that the Axxis "advance/deluxe" version is what most of us have( they now call them Deluxe Plus or something like that) the Ult version ,which you have, is their "dirtiest" brake , in relative terms of course ................check out their web site

The majority of E60 owners, especially on this forum go with the Axxis Deluxe Plus Pads. They're organic compared to the majority of metallic compounds producing less dust, lasting longer without sacrificing brake performance either.

Fellers I do not understand this, am I lucky or what?

Before purchasing my BMW I was reading all over about MODs etc... one that bothered me was this dust brake pad issue.
I was really concerned about this and started paying attention to BMWs on the road etc.. and Darn that brake dust gets black.

Anyways, when I got my vehicle, within a week I put on some new wheels, and before putting these on I used Wheel Wax on the wheels.
It was a pain to put on/take off. Just time consuming.
But here I am 2 months later and I have yet to see a brake dust pad issue. I am serious, I do not notice it at all, now dont get me wrong I do tend to wash my vehicle every 2 weeks or so. But I do not notice the dust when washing either.

Is it the wheel wax? Or do the 2008 LCI models have a different kind of brake pad?

I wondered about this as well since my car is an LCI and a friend of mine who owns a Pre-LCI kept commenting on how clean my wheels were... yeah right, I wash my car once over 2 weeks.. hahaha..

What I want to know is....... why after so many cars I've driven in my life does this BMW accumulate more brake dust than the Sahara desert?!!!!? Whats the deal ?! Plus, they fucking squeak like you wouldn't believe.
