bruce (on here) sells the adapter loom that includes the resister, so you can buy the BMW E93 LED unit, then its plug and play with no errors.

Ill second that............ Bruces "plug & play" kits are the tops, he also does the same for the LED Rear Lights on the LCI 2008, I fitted these to my 2006 M5 and they look brill!!

+1 for OEM plate lights + adapters...I got my cables from member 777ER (work and look great)
