My remote distance was pathetic at best, I could only arm/disarm the car when standing directly outside drivers door. FM radio reception flawless.
Well long story short, the replacement (a used one) and now my original will not work! Both the used and original have identical part #s and same frequency, 315. The one I just bought from a member here just a few days ago is" version 12" build date 09-05. My original is "version 11" build date 01-05. I'm giving the used one the benefit of the doubt here and assume it was working. I got a great deal on this antenna along with another item so I'm not gonna make a big deal about it towards seller. He was great at communicating and provided tracking number the next day. He shipped the items FAST. Thanks Victor!
Anyway, I've tried resetting the remote and cleaned the contacts (on both the antenna and base mounted in roof) and still neither one now works. What gives?! Thanks for reading.

Now I'm not sure if replacing the antenna would actually work for you since it didn't for me. This is rather bothersome since those that replaced it has seen a huge improvement in remote distance but with my luck, it can never be this easy. What sucks is that now my old antenna, which worked albeit while only next to the door now don't even respond at all.
Anyone with any ideas? thanks

After stressing for a few days, I finally found the culprit... A blown fuse! Don't ask me how I found it, I got really lucky. What I did was just follow the wiring back into the trunk, I completely forgot there is a fuse box above the battery. By the grace of god the first fuse I pulled out was a blown one (not lying). Hmmm... could this be it? So I replaced it (5amp) and low and behold my dang remote now works, from a good distance too I might add.
If for some reason your remote just quits arming/disarming the car, (1) change the battery in key if possible and/or (2) check this fuse below, or (3) replace diversity antenna.
