If you asking based strictly on mileage I would say your Transmission, rear Diff and power steering fluids should be flushed at 50K. If youre asking as it relates to the spark plug change itself, you may look at a wire set after inspection.

+1 on the Irridium Plugs as well Good luck!

Why should the rear diff lube be changed on a car? It dosen't tow anything! I've never changed power steering fluid in any car I've owned! Transmission fluid......maybe but keep in mind it's not the same as engine oil. It's mainly a hydraulic type fluid and is not as dependent on additives like motor oil.

Hmm my car just hit 50k, what is the recommended maintenance for the 50k miles. Would the dealer do it under warranty even if the recommendations is no at 50k.

While this would be nice, dealers will only do scheduled maintenance as part of the included maintenance plan. In fact, most dealers will probably look at you like you're crazy if you wanna change a 'lifetime fluid'.....especially at 50k miles.

BMW got rid of the Inspections (I, II etc). Now they only go by what the iDrive tells them, and even then, iDrive may not be accurate as some people have found out..

Well the OP asked the question and I answered it! Technically, the spark plugs are to be change at 100K miles according to BMW, and he is doing it at 50K? So this leads me to believe the OP is trying to maintain more frequently for the longevity of his car. Which is why I asked if his question was based on miles and not directly related to the spark plugs project. So maybe these guides will get him and you where he need to be.
