So I just picked up my practically new OEM 166 wheels and they're PERFECT Take off's with less than 1K on them! They have the OEM Conti stock tires on them which I'll be finding a new home for if anyone knows someone who might be interested in a spare pair. I got the wheels and tires for $1,500 out the door! I think that's a pretty good deal considering I may be able to sell the tires, maybe!

I'm also selling the 8/10 124 sport wheels that came on my car! Once everythings sold it should be a relatively cheap upgrade, relatively!

I'm gonna run 245/35/19's and 275/30/19's probably Michelin AS's

Can't wait to get them on, but America's Tire is gonna take 3-5 days to ship the tires from Reno! Bugger!

Really? What dealer?

I think I called every dealer in CA and Nevada. Only a few SOCAL had takeoffs from a M5 or M6. Nice find tho, congrats!

I bought them privately from an M5 owner that put chrome 20's on his car, I assume "Take Off" is the right term does it suggest a dealer? maybe "Out the door", I just wanted to qualify the total cost with no shipping etc..,

I couldn't find them at any dealers either!

I just put a wanted ad on Craigslist and it came through! God bless Craigslist!!

If I get anymore responses I'll let you know.

Yea, when you said take-offs, I assumed dealer take off. Be sure to post pictures once they are on your car!

Which E60 do you have?

I have a 550 and I wonder if i remove my 124's can I just replace them with the 166's without adding spacers or anything. I know this question must have been asked before but I am just curious what you did here. Do the 166's with different size tires from your 128's just fit?

Thanks,

Thanks,
You can directly put M5 rims onto a 550. However, you would need to buy new tires. 275(or 285)/30/19 on the rear and 245/35/19 on the front. You don't need spacers, but many members like it sticking out a little bit. Really total on preference. I know BMWV8ster isn't running spacers anymore. But you do need at least a sport suspension so it doesn't look like a lifted truck. There's literally 5 finger gap without sport suspension.
