ch7656, thank you very much for the pic. i've read your other thread regarding this. very interesting. however, if we do use the paint remover to remove the black paint, will it look "chrome" or "metal"? one thing worries me is probably the remover will remove the "protectant" or something like that. then it'll be rusted and turn brown. it'll definitely be a one-of-a-kind

Fred, that looks great. I'll order the beige parts from whoever can sell them to me. Actually, I wonder how a black console would look in a black/beige car - probably not too bad.

OK, I'll just have the shop switch my steering wheel position to the RHS, and I'll buy the parts off you.
