The leather covered armrest comes with Exclusive leather, which is available only in select regions.

I would love to have leather on the armrest, and the whole console for that matter. It looks like the M5 will have it. Anyone know if there is a way to order it?
It's plastic here in the US.

Did both myself...one piece of advice on the grills is to remove the hard plastic piece that I have indicated on this picture...this will give you access to the back of the grillls and it makes install MUCH easier!

You should be able to order the Exclusive leather armrest but it will have a different grain of leather to your seats if you do not have Exclusive leather. This leather is only available in beige or black I believe.
Flowerfred,
Where does the leather stop i.e. does it follow down the panel besides the gear level to the dash or is it only on the armrest section? Does it have any more padding than the standard armrest which is very hard and uncomfortable to lean on for extended periods of time?

Iceman,
I know that the Individual programme gives you leather on the dash, door cappings etc. This is simmilar to the extended leather option in the Z4.
I was wondering how far the Exclusive leather went as you will be able to order these items from a parts centre at your local dealer. You cannot retro order BMW Individual items to the best of my knowledge though.

I don't know about how far the exclusive leather goes. I have the Nasca... And I haven't taken a closer look at exclusive leather yet, because I didn't know about the extended leather.
