flo_sb,
Check out Rootkit's post (#618) in this thread on the CIC. He has a really nice step by step with pictures of how he ran the USB cable from the center console back into the trunk area. It should be helpful to you.

Cheers!

Spykes,
I've been busy as hell and still have a few other projects with the car I want to complete first. I'll be sure to post lots of pics as usual once I get back to this though. The current shitty sound system in my car is killing me.

Cheers

Thanks for the positive comments. I can't wait to get this mod finished also. I really have a hard time with my OEM sound system. Once I park the car for the winter in another month or so I will start to rip things apart.

Stay tuned....

Any updates on this? My JBL MS-8 just came in today. I plan on installing it along with the CIC retrofit from Patrys and using Technic's harness (on its way). Do you have pics of the MS-8 unit installed and wired up? Also I want to see how you wired up +, -, and remote for it.

I haven't done much of anything to my car this year. Life has been very hectic and left me with not much time to focus on my E60. I have ordered new wheels and tires again and will be adding a new splitter to the front-end soon. As far as internal mods go, I would love to enhance my stereo but everything is still on-hold unfortunately. Hopefully soon!! Now you need to post pics of your progress on this so that we may learn from you.
