Any idea when is BMW releasing Ipod interface for 2005 530i? There is not much information here.

It's ALREADY released (at least in some countries). There are two or three threads in the parts forum and the DIY forum with part numbers and some details. (Mine arrived today in Spain, to be installed tomorrow... hopefully). Some people claims it''s not yet released in the UK. If you add your country and car details in your profile and signature, you could receive more specific answers from the great people in this forum...
