I want to buy a new 530i, but.....
Does anyone know if/when the "new Ipod" interface (the one in the ipodyourbmw video which I think is P/N 65 11 0 403 651") is going to be a factory option?
It seems like the 6 disk changer is on the way out in favor of MP3 capabilites.
The dealers I've spoken to always mention the "after market" solutions until I force the issue. Then they seem to fess up to knowing about the better new solution.
I don't want to buy the car and deal with the "oh, we were wrong about this option, can't get it, wait, have someone else install but your warranty will be void"

xenons, wood, mirror pack, 17" rims, Hi Fi spkr,

Visibility & Media Packs Wood & Lumber Support
got my car back yesterday cost was as quoted ?340 inc vat they kept it a day longer than quoted as they had problems with the s/w update.
noticed quite a few changes on the system major ones are : -
1) An mp3 CD in the dashboard now has long filenames on the directory listing
2) The option for suffix dialing is now presented at the bottomn of the screen when you are the phone
3) the information menu in IDrive is totally different.
but the main difference is that my car is no longer littered with cd jewel cases
noticed quite a few changes on the system major ones are : -

There is no MP3-5 as it is CD (greyed out) and MP3-6
