For those that have put the IPOD interface in themselves and did not have a 6 disc changer but had prewiring.

How much did the dealer charge you to CODE the system for you to be able to use and see the IPOD in the IDRIVE...

My dealr quote $600.00 ipod and installation To encoded only is $300.00, i order mine interface from Garry at Newport BMW FOR 225.00 I SAVE $ 75.00 im still wating to install it and see if it works without dealer.. from what i see here if you have cd changer it seems to work if you have ONLY CHANGER READY you may have to take to daelr to encoded ill see on monday when i get the part.

My car is at the dealership now (Dropped it this morning). I installed the iPod interface myself, I also bought it from Gary, will let you know how much they charge (If they do charge). I told them that I was having issues with BT so my SA said that if they update to new CIP since they will already have to hook it up to the computer, then they might not charge for the activation of the iPod interface.

Anyone pay for just having the car Coded yet for Ipod? If so what did they charge? It could'nt take them much more than an hour if that...

They charged me $100USD, yes, ouch.... I think it was still worth it, buying the discounted part and installing it myself.
