iPod adapter weird problem...

today i got the ipod adapter installed dat my bmw dealer for free (the sales advisor claimed my car played mp3 and the it didnt and they were unable to retrofit it 02/2006 non-nav),
anyways thing is that works perfect expect when i hang up after a call via bluetooth on my iphone 3g... and the song keeps playing but without any sound..
and i also get a message on the iphone saying the adapter was not made for this device and it will not charge it...
did anyone encounter the same problem????

For 2nd part of your problem, the adapter is designed to be used for iPods and not the iPhone. There is a newer adapter, the dealer should have given that to you instead.

i just found out that if i press MUTE after i finish my calls, the music resumes.... but i think it should me done automatically
