Don't they come pre-oiled? Why would anyone add oil to a new filter? I have had K&N in my cars since they came out and only cleaned and added oil to one once. If someone screws up their own filter, their problem. These things are not high maintenance

Also the K&N filter does come oiled. I know because i have one. After you use the filter for a certain amount of miles you are going to have to re-oil it. K&N sells the filter restore kit. A lot of people when they re-oil them use to much oil and it f's up the MAF sensor. Just dont oil the shit out of it and you will be ok.
I know Brett, I went the K&N route myself, with the RPI scoop - I like it, just couldn't justify the extra $50 for possibly imaginary 1-2HP. So +1000
