I just noticed that K&N has more pleats than BMC (41 vs 32). Does that translate to larger surface filtration area?
I don't know which brand has deeper pleats.

ok, so... i didnt get any quality video of the sound of my car, but i did see a new viper eat it after merging onto the highway at a high rate of speed... i exited the highway and turned around and sat in traffic for 15 minutes so i could provide you people with some low quality video.

i was looking in my rear-view mirror (checking for cops) when I saw him enter the highway... the ass of the car got away from him and he turned it around and almost went into oncoming traffic. I can hit 85 on the on ramp he lost it on, so I cant imagine how fast he was going. I'd say 115ish...

notice how much of the wire barrier is missing... the guy was hauling balls.

So... here is my stupid question: who has the best price for K&N filter?
i found the best deal at autobarn.com

Since lincoln nebraska is pretty small the local places i went to didnt have any on hand for the e60 but of course they had 50 for a 1995 ford f150. i got my stuff from auto barn, along with some micro fiber towels, and one other thing. Spend 75 bucks and get free shipping. The filter was like 52, so i bought some towels and stuff i needed to clean my car

My Ride: I have an 05 545i. It's a manual with a few options. This is my first BMW but I don't know how I'll ever be able to switch to something else.

My K&N filter made me coffee, helped pick out my clothes to wear to work, walked my dog, and offered "special service" before I left for work this morning
