Here is the irony: people are "fine" with copy/replica as long as it doesn't effect their bottom line. These are the same people who will scream murder if their own products (hardware, software, intellectual property ...) are copied.

You can't have it both ways.

I am guessing AC's issue with these wheels isn't that they looked like theirs, but the wheels were probably stamped with their logo or something terribly similar. That is probably how they were able to get them seized.

Exactly. I think a similar looking wheel would be much more acceptable than putting on the AC logo. This makes AC look bad as maybe someone would actually believe it is not a fake and then look down on AC for producing a terrible product. With that said, I still dont like companies ripping off harder working companies.

I wouldn't recommend any replica of any kind , cause in the long run , you will see for yourself that it's not worth it , also keep in mind that no.1 safety in ours cars are the tires , and like they say the quality control of those replica are horrible, so for you life don't do this.
