Having worked with metals earlier in my career and been involved in manufacturing for most if it I have seen the differences in metal quality, the impact of proper heat treating and proper vs. inferior machining processes. AC Schintzer wheels are crazy expensive but the material certifications for the metals they use, the wages of the metal workers and the high tech precision machinery used to manufacture their wheels to very tight tolerances drive a lot of that cost.

I'm getting a replica M5/Mtech nose because I don't want to pay for an OEM nose and based on the information on this forum I am confident enough that a replica product will meet my expectations and the parts are cosmetic. But For wheels or performance parts I use OEM/Dinan/BBS. Vendors/Parts that I am confident have strict quality controls and really will improve performance and not screw up my car.
