Yes, what I meant was the chime kicked in if not buckled and car moved. It's just the passenger side took slightly longer than the driver side; but all in about 15-20s (gut feel didn't really time this).

not sure about the chime. but the warning icon on the driver's side stays longer than before and driver's side stays longer than passeger's side .

Well, the icon and the chime disappeared the instance I buckled up.
The long delay was for the system to recognise that something/someone was in the seat without buckling up and the chime to start making noised.

Yep.
US spec only!

Not true; it exists in Singapoer version also. But what the hack, don't think without that we can successfully sue BMW here anyway in cases like this.

The prompt to accept that if you have an accident in the car you won't sue BMW because you were too busing playing with the gadgets in your car instead of keeping your eyes on the road

In my case, this doesn't apply cause I was fiddling with the seat belt buckle and not the idrvie.

welcome aboard, stranger ! the icon disappeared a lot faster before. after the updated to 13.2, it's much slower now. hope the newer 13.3/14 i'll get couple days later will correct this "problem".

iceman and alohalc,

Thanks for the welcome. Been lurking in the background for months but too lazy to sign up until yesterday.

I "come" from Singapore. No it's not inside China.
