After my terrible experience with the replica 19" #166 wheels, I have been driving with my OEM 17" wheels for the past couple of months.

I have finally given in and determined that the 19" OEM #166s are the only way to go. The total cost with mounting, etc. will be $1800, and I already spent $1,000 for the replicas (without the tires that I can use again).
For a leased car with only 29 months left, this is an expensive price to pay in total, but I think that it is worth it.

I will be ordering from bmwwheels.com, as they seem to have the best deal.

Sorry that I will not be able to stay as one of the site's experts on hubcentric rings (after trying every hubcentric ring solution to fix my vibration problem with the replicas).

I am finally at peace with spending all of the extra money on OEMs, and I am looking forward to rejoining the fun conversations on #166 wheels.

Best to all,
Richard

You can. I have seen a XI with the 166s. I forgot who the member was. Either he didn't know or care that 166s aren't made to fit the XI.

How much are OEM 166s? Over here in thailand they're like 500+ each. So total to over 2500+ with tires. Replicas are like 250 each. How much did you pay for your OEM 166 a piece and also the tires, monacobmw?

OEM wheels . Replicas Why gamble?

245/35 front, 275/30 rear with 12mm spacers (285/30 if you have a 550i).

How do you know if this size does not rubbed?
I think 245/35 front, 275/30 rear with 12mm spacers are good.
