Unlikely. Some smart people have wheel locks.

Thanks for reminding me to bring the master wheel lock
OK. Good enough for joke. Yeah, I'll lurking around M5board to look for used ones.
I love to go with 285/30 rear, but most of people goes for this size got rubbing issue. 275/30 is kind of small and prone to curb rash
What do you think?

I dunno. I'm going crazy over the curb rashes on my beloved 166s. :'(

Seems like everyone is loving their 285s. I seem to recall that Lomag is questioning his choice of 285s. I know that brian1225 has rubbing issues occasionally and that's after he rolled his fenders. That's because he's lowered with H&R Sport springs and has 12mm spacers. Matt BMW California has 285s and 12mm spacer set up as well but has not lowered it. I think he mentioned he rubs a bit?

You can. I have seen a XI with the 166s. I forgot who the member was. Either he didn't know or care that 166s aren't made to fit the XI.
The member who has them is SP530xi. I talked to him a ways back. Since he was one of the first '06 xi orders, he wasn't aware of the offset difference and neither was his dealer. so when he ordered the wheels, he noticed how far out the wheels stuck out. This is the main problem. I wouldn't go this route if i were you. take a look at his gallery. looks good from the side, but look at it from the bak or front and the wheels clearly stick out beyond the wells. not good.

My replicas fit perfectly on the Xi (74.1 mm). Want to buy a set of replicas (vibration included)?

Bought the H&R 12 mm spacers with 10 "35 mm" lug bolts.
Got the H&R filter today to install. It was good.

We are back on track now...

No, our center bore is the same as the standard E60...72.56. This became a topic of discussion for so long, that another xi member pulled off their wheel and measured the inside with one of those tools that measures the exact bore size down to 1/100 of a mm. 72.56 it was. He even took a photo of the digital read out and posted it. But since your offset would be the same as the OEM's which is set for a non-xi E60, we'd have the same issue as i mentioned above. But thanks anyway!

My offset for the replicas is actually ET32 (a little bigger), which is why I have 20mm spacers right now. Just kidding on giving anyone those replicas.
