How do you know if this size does not rubbed?
I think 245/35 front, 275/30 rear with 12mm spacers are good.

Edit: I'm sorry! I meant 285/30 for the rear tires.

Replicas were $700 from Lake Shore Wheels (plus shipping unless you also buy tires--I got General Exclaims installed for $1600 total). I spent $250 trying to make the vibration go away. The company forgot to send me the hubcentric rings, and I now have a huge ring collection from 4 different places.
OEMs are $1440 plus shipping from Bmwwheels.com ($1600).
There is also a great used wheel market for these OEMs in good condition.
I thought about driving my $54,000 car with even the slightest vibration, and I thought that it is not worth it. If you ever saw the movie "Contact" with Jodie Foster in the vibrating room with the vibrating chair, you would know what I am talking about.
I spoke to someone at wheelsandcaps.com (Bryan) and he seemed very nice. His wheels are made in Italy rather than in Hong Kong, and he said he would take any bad wheels back. Even so, this is just not worth my time anymore to think Replicas. I bought a real BMW, and it is nice to have real BMW wheels.
I hope that this email is helpful for all.
Best,
Richard

After my terrible experience with the replica 19" #166 wheels, I have been driving with my OEM 17" wheels for the past couple of months.
I have finally given in and determined that the 19" OEM #166s are the only way to go. The total cost with mounting, etc. will be $1800, and I already spent $1,000 for the replicas (without the tires that I can use again).
For a leased car with only 29 months left, this is an expensive price to pay in total, but I think that it is worth it.
I will be ordering from bmwwheels.com, as they seem to have the best deal.
Sorry that I will not be able to stay as one of the site's experts on hubcentric rings (after tying every hubcentric ring solution to fix my vibration problem with the replicas).
I am finally at peace with spending all of the extra money on OEMs, and I am looking forward to rejoining the fun conversations on #166 wheels.
Best to all,
Richard

Sorry you had to go through that excercise to finally arrive at the OEMs. But now you'll be back to enjoying your e60

I place the order this morning for the OEMs.
I hate to ask the repetitive question, but what is the best size for rear H&R spacers for the OEMs?
With the replicas, I needed 20mm. I had ET32.
What size spacers look the best? Are the 20mms going to look too big? I still have them on my 17" OEMs (because I could not get them off) and they look pretty good.
Best regards,
Richard

OEM 166 sucks! Those who have it should put it up for sale for cheap....
Then I'll buy it
Then I'll buy it
If you want 166s you should check the For Sale forum over on M5board.com occasionally.
